Research Center Reviews
The Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies (OVPRGS) leads the process of reviewing MSU research centers, institutes, and laboratories.
During the first quarter of 2002, then-VP Huggett met with deans to jointly identify research centers to be evaluated in the first round of reviews. Research centers to be considered for inclusion in the process are developing strategic plans. Self-studies and external reviews where those are considered desirable will follow. Bill Abbett, former dean of the College of Human Medicine, is working with Ken Corey, senior research advisor in the OVPRGS, on the effort. The review process is described in the following documents.
